Festivals & Events
Festivals, street carnivals, celebrations of music and art - all can be found throughout the year in Beara. Of course, don't forget the famous Ring of Beara Cycle that brings people from far and wide to enjoy the many delights of Beara, both on the bike and in the many restaurants and bars!a
Riptide Movement will perform the opening gig at this year's Eyeries Festival on Friday 20th July in Eyeries Hall. More details to be announced shortly.
The Eyeries Festival takes place in late July in our beautiful village of Eyeries and we seek to highlight and celebrate the area with family, friends and visitors old and new.
The festival attracts internationally renowned artists and also fosters local unique talents against a backdrop which showcases our picturesque village and surrounding areas. In a nutshell it is a celebration of all that we have and enjoy. The programme strives to provide events and activities that appeal to the full range of ages and tastes and is predominantly free for attendees, only two of the forty plus events are ticketed and kept to the lowest fee possible.
We are and will always remain hugely grateful to the many volunteers who give their time and expertise to ensure the success of the weekend and the many businesses near and far who support us financially enabling us to put on the weekend of FREE fun for all.
Already we have seen a notable ripple-effect from the festival's prime place in many people's calendars. There are many family holidays, reunions and even weddings planned around the festival - long may it last!
Please join us at the Eyeries Family Festival if you're visiting Beara in July.
Eyeries is a stunning coastal village and its' people, craic and community spirit are mighty - all-year-round!
The road winds ahead toward another destination, another adventure. Through rock and rush, from sea to sky, let Beara take you on a voyage of discovery.
