Festivals & Events
Festivals, street carnivals, celebrations of music and art - all can be found throughout the year in Beara. Of course, don't forget the famous Ring of Beara Cycle that brings people from far and wide to enjoy the many delights of Beara, both on the bike and in the many restaurants and bars!a
A number of weekly community walks are now taking place in Beara over the coming weeks as part of RTE’s Operation Transformation. Every Tuesday at 7.00pm a walk leaves from the Square, Castletownbere. Those taking part should wear suitable clothes and footwear, wear a high vis jacket and bring a torch for any walks taking place in the evenings. For further details see the Operation Transformation Beara Facebook page.
Friday 25th January
The first monthly poetry night of the new year will be held on Friday January 25th at 8pm at the White Room, Castletownbere (behind O’Donoghue’s garage). Those attending are invited to bring either their own poems to read or those by other authors.
The road winds ahead toward another destination, another adventure. Through rock and rush, from sea to sky, let Beara take you on a voyage of discovery.
